Double-sided tape for hair systems

In this section we show the characteristics of the main double-sided adhesives used to attach a hair system. They can be classified as follows:

  • Bonding tape (pro) – formed by layered glue, available in different types of rolls and in many pre-cut versions.
  • Duo Tac and Duo Tac Thin – unique in their category, in two thicknesses, for a strong hold with a very thin profile.
  • Breathable tapes – perforated versions that let the scalp breathe, for those who need greater comfort over long wear.

Liquid adhesives for hair systems

Here are the characteristics of the main liquid adhesives used for fixing a hair system.

Water-based adhesives are white, very fluid and easy to apply, kept liquid by water, generally very well tolerated and mostly acrylic-based. They can be applied in multiple thin layers: 2 or 3 on the skin (up to 4), 1 or 2 on the system, letting each layer dry before applying the next.

  • The layer is ready when the white adhesive turns transparent: the water has evaporated and only the sticky substance remains.
  • A hairdryer speeds up the drying between one layer and the next.
  • Thanks to the multilayer, water-based adhesive creates a barrier against perspiration, for excellent hold.
  • Solvent-based adhesives are thicker and can be more filamentous: application and removal require more care.
  • Dura Bond No Shine – excellent flow and a matte finish, essential on lace or net systems.

Remover and shampoo

Two products that make the routine simple and safe, and protect both your skin and your system.

  • HRS Super Adhesive Remover – quickly dissolves adhesive residue for an easy removal, while remaining very gentle on the skin and on the more fragile materials.
  • HRS Hair System Shampoo – gently washes the hair keeping it strong and healthy. Specific for hair implants and safe on coloured hair as well.
